While this is not the typical view of Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak, we were treated to a fantastic sunset on the tail end of a one-day effort on the famous Four Pass Loop. This gorgeous marathon-plus distance circuit with massive amounts of elevation gain rewards backpackers, hikers, and runners with new views around every corner and pass. We were thankful for this colorful reward near the end of our long day…though it meant we were soon going to lose the last of our light!
