Location: McClure Pass, Colorado

I’ve driven over McClure Pass several times in the fall - it’s one of Colorado’s best drives for fall color viewing, and I love shooting the aspens along the winding road. This particular time my brother and I were on our way back from a fall hiking trip in southwest Colorado. As we neared the pass and the sun began to get low, I began to drive a little faster…and faster, hoping to get to a good vantage point by sunset. After only bit of speeding and a couple u-turns, we found a spot to watch these incredible clouds put on a show.
