Location: Mount Rainier, Mount Rainier National Park, Washington

When we first started pursuing mountains goals, Mount Rainier seemed like a crazy goal…but two summits later, our days and nights on its glaciated flanks remain some of our favorite and proudest moments in the hills. The mountains in the PNW are entirely different than anything we had experienced previously, and Rainier itself is bigger, more complex, and more awe inspiring than anything we had imagined. I hope we continue to make more memories on and around this area! This photo was taken descending a broken glacier field. The rope team ahead of us shows some perspective of this unreal location.
